It provides stability to the beginner for teaching alignment, supports connective tissue health with gentle traction & gravity, and opens the seasoned practitioner to familiar poses with a new perspective and a deeper sense of awareness. Connective tissue health plays a vital role in healthy aging, posture and pain-free movement. The fascia is also integral in our immune and inflammatory responses. Wednesday 430pm Thursday 530pm Saturday 1030am This small group class adds slow mindful movement in to your wellness lifestyle to cultivate a resilient body & mind and enhance overall health & well-being. You will be guided through a sequence of soft & dynamic yoga poses, somatic movement, myofascial self-care, breathwork & a meditation, giving personal attention for assists & therapeutic modifications. Each class is designed around a specific therapeutic focus to support pain-free movement, joint health, posture & preventative health. Perfect for the beginner or seasoned practitioner or anyone with health/joint issues. |
RENEW: Yoga TherapyMonday 430pm
Tuesday 4pm Thursday 1030am Guided by our Certified Yoga Therapist, this small group class is designed to support those that suffer from chronic pain and/or joint dysfunction. This specialized class uses gentle somatic awareness movement, yoga postures, therapeutic props like the Great Yoga Wall combined with myofascial release with yoga therapy balls, soothing breathwork, mindfulness, guided imagery, pain education and pain reprocessing techniques informed by yoga therapy, Ayurveda, polyvagal theory, recent research on fascia and modern pain science. Yoga props and movement will be skillfully adapted to support each person in optimizing pain-free movement, aligning posture and nurturing an experience of lightness and ease in the body and mind. Weekly Focus (to cover all body areas): 1st: Healthy Hips & Pelvis 2nd: Neck & Spine Rejuvenation 3rd: Supple Shoulders 4th: Balanced Feet, Ankles & Knees Limited to 6 for personalized attention. A Therapeutic Barre Blend. Channel your inner dancer with this unique class that combines slow, intentional dance conditioning exercises with the mindfulness and fluidity of yoga to help you tone, stretch, and strengthen core muscles. Using a sturdy wall barre for support, you’ll engage in a series of low-impact, therapeutic movements designed to enhance alignment and mobility. The integration of barre work and yoga provides a balanced, full-body movement practice that promotes stability while being gentle on the joints. Perfect for those seeking a mindful approach to functional movement that supports overall well-being, whether you're new to movement or looking to deepen your practice. All levels welcome. Tuesday 630am Thursday 630am Sunday 10am This dynamic class promotes a natural progression of postural strength, coordinated movement and nervous system resiliency. Hatha Flow focuses on learning yoga postures from the ground up, cultivating the balance of stability and flexibility with breath awareness. Through mind-body connection cues and experiences, students will find their own edge between effort and ease. Props will be used to support alignment, allow for deeper opening and to expand inner awareness. No yoga experience necessary. Beginners welcome. Modifications provided. |
RELEASE: Deep StretchTuesday 530pm
Wednesday 1030am This blended class of the soft styles of yoga is designed with pain care in mind to support healing and deep rest by focusing on calming the stress response. Our teacher guides you into effortless & grounding yoga poses with calming breathwork & guided meditation. The Yin & restorative yoga poses rejuvenate the fascia (connective tissues), support immunity, opens the breath, frees up energy and cultivates inner awareness (interoception). Personal attention is given for support & therapeutic modifications. This class is beneficial to all students. |
LIVESTREAM: Breathwork & MeditationWednesday 730am | 30-Minutes Via Livestream
Join Andrea (Prema) Marenco each week for a live 30-minute session designed to cultivate presence, openness, and kindness toward whatever arises. With a warm and grounding presence, you will be guided through gentle breathwork to settle the nervous system and bring attention into the body. After establishing ease in the breath, you’ll be invited into a simple, guided mindfulness meditation: resting awareness on the body and breath, noticing thoughts and emotions with friendly curiosity, and welcoming all experience with compassion. Each session ends with an invitation to extend this mindful awareness into your day, bridging meditation with daily life. This practice offers a supportive rhythm of pause, breath, and compassionate attention, nurturing greater ease and clarity. |

Qi Gong (monthly)3rd Saturdays 12pm
Qigong is an ancient Chinese practice that combines gentle movement, controlled breathing, and focused meditation to cultivate and balance the body's vital energy, known as "qi" (pronounced "chi"). This traditional healing art has been practiced for over 4,000 years, with its origins tracing back to ancient breathing exercises and movements used to promote health and wellness. The practice literally translates to "energy cultivation" or "energy work" reflecting its core purpose of harmonizing the life force energy that flows through all living beings. The health benefits of regular Qigong practice are extensive and well-documented. Research shows that Qigong can improve balance, reduce stress and anxiety, enhance mental focus, strengthen the cardiovascular system, and support overall immune function. Unlike high-impact exercises, Qigong is accessible to people of all ages and fitness level.This beginner class introduces newcomers to the fundamental principles of Qigong in a welcoming environment. Participants will learn basic postures, simple breathing techniques, and gentle movements that form the foundation of this ancient practice. No prior experience is required—just comfortable clothing and an open mind. The class provides students with essential tools to begin their own Qigong journey and experience the profound benefits this practice offers for both physical health and mental clarity. |

No Show Policy
Dear Lotus Care KC Community, As a small local yoga studio, our commitment to sustainability and community service extends to our class attendance policy. We kindly request that you honor your reservations or cancel at least 1 hour in advance of class start time to allow others to join and minimize community impact. Our no-show policy is to ensure sustainability and support of our dedicated teachers: Drop-in classes and package credits will not be refunded. Auto-Renew Members will be charged a $10 fee per occurrence. If you need assistance in navigating our booking site, please reach out to our team. Thank you for your understanding and your commitment to our shared ethos. |
Winter Weather Policy
If we receive significant snowfall or hazardous road icing, the studio will be closed until conditions are safe to drive again. We typically follow NKC School District closures, so if NKC Schools close, our in-studio classes will also pause. Livestream Class Alternative: Whenever possible, classes affected by winter weather will be moved to livestream through the Vagaro app instead of being fully cancelled. Please check Vagaro or your email/text notifications for livestream updates and links. If your class is cancelled, you will receive an automated notification from Vagaro via email and/or text message (if opted in). Please check your inbox if you suspect a weather-related changed. Massage Appointments: If you have a massage scheduled, your massage therapist will connect with you via text message to reschedule your appointment. The wisdom of Ayurveda teaches us that winter is a season of rest and integration. It is usually known as a time for “non-action”, a time to reflect on the season that ended, and regain energy through rest and contemplation. Enjoy resting when you can! |
